Welcome! I am glad you stopped by! I hope that one day we will get to meet. Until then here is a little about me.
I live in South Dakota with the love of my life. We share 5 adult kids between the two of us, along with one sweet grandbaby. We enjoy all things outdoors, especially hiking and camping. We volunteer with our church family in different capacities as well as serve in our community by feeding the homeless and mentoring youth. I also love music, playing games with friends, and of course...FOOD! Good food!
I became a health and wellness coach for a couple of reasons. First, I have prior experience as a Nutritional Coach for a well known weight loss company. The position was rewarding and I gained a tremendous amount of knowledge. However, the program itself was highly restrictive, sales oriented and protocol driven. After time, I felt it no longer aligned with my personal values so I left, dreaming of building something better! Second, I have had numerous health challenges in my own life: respiratory illnesses as a child, digestive gut issues, migraines, ovarian cyst ruptures that led to a hysterectomy and recently the altering life event of menopause and hormonal changes. So...I get it. I have been there. I discovered the rich benefits of changing my eating habits, being intentional about daily exercise and investing time for self-care. I know that there are countless other women who are on their own journey trying to get in a better place, physically, mentally and/or spiritually. My passion is to walk alongside with you and offer you creative skills, as well as the compassion and support that leads to a better quality of life. I hold Certifications in the areas of Health and Wellness, Weight Loss, and Gut Health and Nutrition. I am also in process of earning a fourth Certification in Holistic Nutrition.
